Michael Oliver & Anthony Taylor named as England's referee nominess for the Euros
With Stuart Attwell in his Luton shirt as one of the VAR representatives

They are just trolling Forest now

Hopefully no sign of that Spanish clown who did the Leverkusen second leg

I remember the 81 League Cup Final when Lyall apparently told Clive Thomas that they felt cheated after the Sammy Lee offside decision. Thomas claimed Lyall called him a cheat. It went to the FA and John got away with it when Thomas I think said he may have mis heard. According to both Lyall and Thomas books after it all got sorted they went around the corner and had lunch together! Wonder who paid ?!

As mentioned before, I was Clive Thomas's paper boy. He was a shit Christmas tipper and a very dour man.

Nice house though.

Like Oliver generally fair and keeps the game moving, Taylor a disaster waiting to happen and a cheat.

Gave the West Germans a pen as well

Jack Taylor was badly cut in the face by a penny thrown from a bank of Luton Town fans at Kenilworth Road.
When Eric Morecambe, the comedian and national treasure who also happened to be a Luton director, asked him if he was going to report the incident, the referee said he wasn't, and Morecambe replied: "Good, now can I have my penny back?" Taylor roared with laughter, and recounted the story for the rest of his life.

Was it Jack Taylor that did the 1974 World Cup final, giving Holland. Penalty after about 3 minutes?

Jack Taylor was one of the best referees in the English game. One for the oldies that one.

Seem to remember my late dad knew the Referee Tom Bune. Roger Milford was ok although he should have at the very least booked Gazza in the Cup Final for the challenge on Garry Parker, and he might not have ever done his knee. Can't remember too many other good ones bar Collina.

We've had great refs:

Graham (multiple yellow cards) Poll

Howard (no red card for a chest high tackle to Xabi Alonso in a World Cup Final no less) Webb

Clive (the telephone book) Thomas

Keith (Fuck It) Hackett

Paul (The Wind blew me over) Alcock RIP
